The Choices to Make When Purchasing a Wireless Keyboard!

Not that I put much thought into deciding that I was going to purchase a wireless keyboard for my new computer, I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of options available. I simply expected to have to pick between a few different manufacturers, and that was going to be it, but was I wrong!

There are two different styles of wireless keyboards, those that use infra red and those that use radio frequency technology to make them wireless. The infra red wireless keyboards require line of sight between the keyboard and the receiver, which means the keyboard has to be directly in front of the receiver.

The second technology is radio frequency wireless keyboards. These wireless keyboards do not have to point toward the receiver in order to work.

Do you have a wireless mouse? If not, you can purchase a wireless keyboard with a track ball built in for added convenience.

The Linksys Wireless Router.

What type of router do you use at home? Like most people, you probably own a Linksys wireless router, as they were named best wireless product of 2004, and their router tend to last for years. I myself did previously own a Linksys wireless router. I must say, I am so sorry that I didn't purchase a second one when my last one broke.

My last router was in a fact a Linksys wireless router and I got about four years of use out of it. When I went to my local electronics store to purchase a new router, I purchased a D-Link router instead of a Linksys. For no reason other than to save a few dollars because I was unemployed at the time, and I was pinching pennies.

I have had nothing but problems with my D-Link Router since I purchased it, and I plan on just getting a new Linksys Wireless Router, as soon as I find myself gainfully employed!

Wireless Speakers

There are many different manufactures of wireless speakers, but no real high-end makers. The reason for this is you cannot achieve full sound spectrum reproduction with wireless speakers. Due to utilizing analog Mhz frequency to send the signal you lose a lot of the low frequency range. The same way you do with FM radio. Until they can figure out how not to lose frequency range you will not see high-end manufactures.

As for the speakers being manufactured they are all about the same in quality. The only real difference is some have a single speaker call a dual voice coil, which reproduces the stereo signal as mono. These are nice for outdoors on patios and porches. They are made for background music not really to try to fill the yard with sound.

The only advise I have for you on wireless speakers is try to stick with well know manufactures.
