I was a little shocked to find that the basic cost of my internet connection increased by about twenty dollars last month. When I called my cable company, as I have all of my digital services through them (cable, phone and internet) I was told that the increase in price was for an increase in internet speeds. I cannot say that I have noticed any increase in my internet connection speeds over the past few months to justify a sixty dollar a month charge for internet service.

I myself am now beginning to find wireless internet services in my neck of the woods. I am strongly changing my entire household back to the phone company, get DSL and of course Direct TV. I am hoping to find some additional ways to get my internet services and I am considering just getting a Verizon Wireless Internet card, and then I can use the internet anywhere, not just at home.

With the need for just about everyone in the US pinching pennies just to get by, I would not doubt that digital companies will start to reduce their price as the market for competition will inevitably increase.
